About
Why?!?!?
- I like the idea of my IDE being a thin client, for:
- A small cluster of parallel workstations
- Build machines handling multiple OSes
- Test boxes with multiple GPU types (nVidia, ATI, ...)
- Easily share a link to a session with a coworker
- Brainfuck is the FizzBuzz and/or Zalgo of programming languages:
- Super simple to implement
- Placeholder for decent options later
- Maximum trolling of Roy_Fokker
- Take 1d3 SAN damage
- HTML/DOM is actually pretty decent for UI:
- Everyone and their mother (or son) can edit/customize HTML
- Use e.g. border-radius without custom rendering everything
- Needs to be decoupled from the debugger/compiler/... anyways
- Learning / Edjumication:
- WebWorkers can't use localStorage!
- Abusing localStorage events for fun and profit.
- Knowledge of IE performance errata
